HOW TUTORING WORKS

Start with where
your student is.

The first step is understanding what feels hard—and what progress should look like.

Right now, one tutor works with every student. As Zays grows, individual needs and academic goals will stay at the center.

One tutor today.
Personal attention as the business grows.

01

Start with the student.

Talk through what’s happening, what feels difficult, and what progress would look like.

02

Give the work a direction.

Choose the skills and concepts to focus on, so each session has a clear purpose.

03

Make room for independence.

Practice explaining the thinking, asking better questions, and taking the next step with less help.

5.0★★★★★

From students and parents working on SAT prep, ACT prep, and K–12 subjects.

★★★★★

“My daughter went into SAT prep convinced she was ‘just bad at math.’ After a couple of months she was explaining problems back to me. Her score went up, but honestly the confidence was the bigger win.”

Danielle R.Parent · SAT prep
★★★★★

“The pacing strategies for the ACT science section completely changed how I take the test. I stopped running out of time.”

Marcus T.11th grade · ACT prep
★★★★★

“Patient, organized, and always prepared. My son actually looks forward to his weekly algebra session now.”

Priya S.Parent · 8th grade math
★★★★★

“I needed help with chemistry and essay writing in the same semester. Zays helped with both and showed me how to study on my own.”

Jordan W.10th grade · Chemistry & English
★★★★★

“Scheduling was easy, rates are fair, and every session had a clear plan. We could see progress on report cards within weeks.”

Angela M.Parent · 5th grade reading
★★★★★

“Instead of just giving me answers, my tutor kept asking ‘why?’ until it clicked. That’s what finally made the SAT reading section make sense.”

Elijah K.12th grade · SAT prep

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Before you
get started.

Clarity belongs here, too.

What tutoring do you offer?

SAT preparation, ACT preparation, and academic tutoring in all subjects for K–12 students. Use the service finder to explore a starting point that matches your student’s needs.

Who will my student work with?

The business currently has one tutor. It is intended to expand, with students’ individual needs and academic goals guiding that growth.

How do I know which service to choose?

Choose SAT or ACT prep for a specific test goal. Choose K–12 support for schoolwork, subject understanding, or study habits. If you’re unsure, select “Not sure yet” in the starting-plan builder.

What are your rates?

$35 per hour on weekdays and $40 per hour on weekends.

Are academic results guaranteed?

No. The reported record is 25+ students served, 90% retention, no negative reviews, and all students meeting or exceeding their academic goals so far. Those past results do not promise a specific grade or test score for a new student.
